Elgin Launches New Spanish Video Series And Webpages 

The city of Elgin continues to find new ways to inform its Spanish-speaking residents, most recently by introducing a new video series as well as Spanish webpages. The first episode of a new video series, “Elgin en Español” was released today.

The series will help educate residents on city services, community news and resources. The city also developed a Spanish landing page on the website where general information can be found, including a Spanish COVID-19 information and resources page.

The new video series, “Elgin en Español” features Elgin natives, police Cmdr. Eric Echevarria and Assistant to the City Manager Karina Nava.

The series features Echevarria and Nava discussing various situations, city services and other important information for residents. Episodes will be released on a monthly basis, and more frequently as needed.
